South Kenwood and South Kimbark, between 60th and 61st Streets: Sewer and Sidewalk work
A project to repair city sewer lines and to improve storm water drainage will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Kenwood Avenue, and will begin at Kimbark Avenue on Monday, Sept. 23. The project includes sidewalk and curb repair and resurfacing.
Please see the map below that reflects the street work schedules and traffic re-routes.
The campus community can expect the following:
--Traffic along 60th and 61st streets will be intermittently impacted.
--Access to the Chapin Hall and the New Graduate Residence Hall parking lots will be rerouted on Sept. 3 through Sept. 20.
--The Mott Building and Kimbark parking lots will be closed to permit holders on Sept. 23 through Oct. 25; alternate parking for permit holders is available at the 1155/Harris parking lot.
--UC shuttles will have access to the Kimbark parking.
--The work will take place between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be noisy at times.
--Expected completion is Oct. 25, weather permitting.
