Pedestrian Benched Crossing at Cobb Gate
A project to install a pedestrian benched crossing at 57th Street at Cobb Gate will impact pedestrian and vehicle traffic beginning the week of Aug. 26. The campus community will experience impacts to pedestrian and vehicular traffic through Sept. 29.
The campus community can expect the following activity during this timeframe:
--Construction will shift to the south side of 57th Street.
--Eastbound traffic along 57th Street will be rerouted to the Midway Plaisance.
--Westbound traffic will be maintained on 57th Street between University and Ellis avenues.
--No parking will be allowed on 57th Street between Ellis and University avenues.
--Cobb Gate will close to accommodate construction. The gate at Snell-Hitchcock and Anatomy can be used as an alternate route.
--Pedestrian crossing across 57th Street will be relocated around the work site.
