Campus Pedestrian Enhancements - 58th Street & Ellis Avenue
A significant pedestrian enhancement project kicks off on Monday, June 17, 2013 and is expected to last through Friday, June 13, 2014. Pedestrian and vehicle travel will be impacted at various times as the project progresses.
The campus community can expect the following during this work:
--Fencing will be placed around the work sites, which are noted in yellow on the map below.
--Pedestrian access will be routed around the work areas.
--Parking restrictions will be posted around the work areas.
--The bookstore will remain open and accessible during construction.
--The Administration Building can be accessed solely from the Ellis Avenue side; the east (or Quadrangle) entrance will reopen in late September.
--All buildings will remain accessible, however, intermediate disruptions are possible.
--Vehicular access will be maintained on Ellis Avenue; lane closures will occur periodically.
--Sidewalk closures and alternate paths will be posted.
--The work will be noisy at times.
--The work will take place each day of the week, including evenings and weekends.
