North Campus Soil Borings
Soil borings are scheduled to take place at various locations near Pierce Hall, North field, and the Pierce parking lot on Dec. 27 & Dec. 28 and Jan. 2 through Jan. 4.
During that timeframe, the campus community can expect the following:
--Surveyors will be working on Dec. 26 marking utilities near the boring locations.
--The boring involves drilling into the ground a 2-inch diameter hole 15-to 75-feet deep at 12 locations, however, adjacent sidewalks, streets, and alleys will not be impacted.
--Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the work will be noisy during drilling.
--Sections of the Pierce parking lot will be closed at times as the work takes place.
--The holes will be restored upon completion.
