Water Shutdown and Valve Replacement
On Friday, September 7 work will begin to replace a broken water valve near Jones Laboratory. The repairs will require a water shutdown to the following buildings: Searle; Jones; Kent; Administration; Cobb; Gates-Blake; & Goodspeed. The campus community can expect the following:
--Contractors will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, September 7 excavating the broken water valve.
--The water shutdown will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and continue for approximately 6-8 hours.
--Contractors will be working on Saturday and Sunday to restore the work area.
--The east sidewalk of Ellis Avenue will be closed to pedestrians near the work area. Signs will be posted directing pedestrians to the west side of Ellis Avenue.
--There will be no parking adjacent to the work area.
--On Monday, September 10 the east sidewalk of Ellis Avenue will reopen to pedestrians.
